Portfolio: formal
Durbanville, Cape Town: This is the largest private garden we have completed to date. The sheer size of the house dictated that something understated yet powerful had to be done in the garden. The formal lines in the garden were taken from the lines of the house, carrying the immense architecture out into the landscaping.
Centurion Golf Estate: This client was building onto the house and decided to renovate the garden too, as they felt a formal garden was more in keeping with the style of house, and they did not enjoy the informal garden that a previous landscaper had installed.
Craighall: The use of mirrors on the walls of this small garden adds a totally different dimension to the landscape. It appears as if there are doorways, and that a central pathway is going right through the wall.
